How do you enable developer tools for teachers so they can manually update the extension if needed?

If the extension didn't update in a timely manner, you will need to turn on Developer Mode on the Manage Extensions page in order to manually update it.

If you force installed the MobileMind extension, you can allow your users to manually update the it by allowing them to turn on Developer Mode on the Manage Extensions page.

1. From your admin console, go to Devices> Chrome> Settings. (Click HERE to go straight to the page where you can edit the developer tools. Make sure you choose your OU first.)

2. Choose which Organizational Unit you would like to turn this on for. If you have your faculty and staff in their own OU, you can turn it on for just those groups.

3. User your Finder Tool and search for the word developer. It will be in the User Experience section. Click on Developer Tools. 

4. Choose either Always Allow or Allow use of developer tools except for... Your users will still be able to update the extension if you choose the second option. 

5. Click Save at the bottom left of this box.
