Single events are ones that are taking place in one room, on one date, and everyone will stay in this one session.
MobileMind Events makes it super easy to create a wide range of events for your school, from PD workshops to new teacher training to department meetings.
While there are a vast number of fields available when building an event, only a few are required. This will allow you to build simple events with a few clicks of the button or detailed events still quickly, but with just a few more clicks :)
Please note this is also a course in the Events Learning Path. If you would like some tips to browse through before you start creating, please click HERE.
Just take it step by step!

- Go to your HQ Dashboard and click on the Events tab. Click New Event from the left Sidebar. Or you can click Add New from the top left.
- Fill out the information in the top three sections which are required to publish. (Details, Location, Participants).
- If you would like, you can fill out the bottom three sections which are optional before publishing.

- When you login to MobileMind, click the button to switch to HQ.
- Once you are in HQ, you can click the Events tab. You can also add it to your Quick Actions on the left side bar.
- Now that you are on your Events page, click on Create New from the upper right and choose Single Event.
2. The top three sections are required in order to be able to publish your event.
- Details: Event name, date and time, description, and category are required for this section.
- Location: Building and room number and/or video meeting link
- Participants: Entire district or specific groups or individuals
Here's a thorough walk through for the event creation process. Click below to skip to a section.
Required: Details | Location | Participants
Optional: Resources | Personnel | Registration
3. The bottom three sections are optional before publishing.
On the right side of the Registration Page, you can select how you would like to take attendance. You can choose to generate a join code or you can take attendance manually on the day of the session. If you choose to use a join code, you may want to consider opening it up 15 minutes prior to the start time so participants can check in as they enter the room. You can also generate a new code if you want to change it after everyone in the room has been marked present to avoid the sharing of the code with those that are not there.
Whether you choose to use a join code or manual check in, you can still check participants in manually. From this page, you can also expand the join code to display with a projector.
4. Save or publish your event
If you didn’t have all of your details ready or you aren’t ready for your learners to see the event, you can choose Save Draft. If you are ready to publish this event to the calendar, choose Publish in the top right. When you choose Publish, you will have the option to have an email about the event.
